Welcome to Unesco gentle hills of the lower Monferrato! Let yourself be enchanted by the Monferrato area where culture, food, wine, nature and cycling are the added values of this corner of Piedmont to be discovered and which has so much to tell! Vineyards, castles, small villages (including the beautiful Cella Monte), giant benches and the typical local " infernot " are the pieces of a mosaic crossed by white roads just waiting to be pedalled! Using one of our ebikes this is a nice bike tour in Italy for beginner.

Our guide qualified for E-bike activities will welcome you at the hotel. With him you will have the pleasure of being guided (for today on foot) to Casale Monferrato. This will be your first taste of this beautiful territory.

This route is intended to be an unusual fusion point between two contiguous and diametrically opposed territories: the gentle hills of Casalese Monferrato and the pristine environment of the River Po Park. The protagonists of the day will be the sweet slopes of the hills near the river Po leading to the Checked Sea of the rice fields, with a route that runs along its embankments and crosses small typical villages where time runs slow like in the old times.

The "Unesco" bike route crosses the fascinating villages of the lower Casalese Monferrato, which still preserves the ancient peasant traditions and the " infernot " the traditional cellars dug into the canton stone that represent the "unicum" of this territory. Cella Monte (listed in Italy Most Beautiful villages), Rosignano and Olivola are just some of the names of the settlements we will ride through, surrounded vineyards, where to admire panoramic views, signposted by giant benches and coloured pencils.

If centuries-old towers, churches, vineyards, big benches, amazing viewpoints and kilometers of white roads were not enough, there is still a curious element that unites some of these pretty villages and that makes this route even more interesting: the crossing of the 45 ° parallel that places this corner of lower Monferrato exactly between the North Pole and the Equator! Last but certainly not least the crossing of Cuccaro, a tiny village in Monferrato and birthplace of the famous navigator Christopher Columbus!
