These are the Piedmontese lands famous for its exceptional wine and food, such as the Cortese Gavi white wine, amaretti and the farinata of Novi, land of culture with the castles of upper Monferrato, and land of cycling with the museum dedicated to the Campionissimo, Fausto Coppi. All this, and much more, will be part of this intense 4-day experience in a hilly landscape designed by vineyards, enclosed between Piedmont and the Apennines of Liguria. Using one of our ebikes this is a nice bike tour in Italy for beginner.

Hotel check in. In the afternoon welcome and briefing by our guide and visit to the center of Novi Ligure.

This bike ride perfectly represents the encounter between 2 neighbouring territories: Piedmont and the Old Republic of Genoa, whose presence can still be "savored" today through the cuisine, traditions, culture and language typical of this area, where the hills gradually give way to the first hints of the Apennines of Liguria. Authentic jewels such as the village of Gavi (Touring Orange Flag), with its imposing Genoese fort and the enchanting village of Voltaggio, with strong Ligurian connotations and its beautiful former convent of Capuchin friars, constitute the added value of this fantastic itinerary. Tastings and visit to the laboratory of amaretti biscuits, where you will prove your chef skills preparing the biscuits with you own hands and tasting excellent local sparkling wine.

Everyone knows Fausto Coppi but few know his places, his country, and those roads where, since he was a boy, he "studied" to become the “Campionissimo”. We will visit Fausto's house in Castellania: a museum preserving the most intimate life of the Campionissimo. Retracing the roads of Fausto also means getting to know the beautiful hills of the Tortona area and its tiny villages that have maintained the traditionally rural and genuine soul of this part of Piedmont! Wine tasting at the Marina Coppi cellar, managed by Fausto's nephew. Visit to the Museum of Campionissimi. And ending the day in Novi tasting of the classic farinata with a glass of wine.

This will be a pleasant cycling route on the hills of Gavi, in ??the heart of the production area of ??the white Cortese Gavi. This itinerary offers the opportunity to learn about the millenary history of its territory thanks to its castles and manors that dot this part of Monferrato. The panoramic views, offered by the surrounding hills, embraced by the Ligurian Apennines make this ride beautiful and like no other. End of the tour in the late morning.
