For the first time in cycling history the Tour De France will have its Big Start in Italy. And organizers have chosen some of the most premium destinations in our country as hosts of the three stages. We have planned an interesting and exciting week tour, which includes a three-day stay in Florence followed by four in Alba, Piedmont. Florence will be the city from which the Tour will start its journey, while this great race will tackle the Langhe hills in its the third stage. In this week you'll visit the vineyards areas of Langhe, land of Barolo and Barbaresco wines, as well as Chianti area hills. You'll stop in the famous Cinque Terre area, on the Tyrrhenian Sea. It will be a fantastic combination of a major sport event, places with strong historical value and food and wine experiences.

1
Arrival in Florence – Warm up ride, hilly, 38.2 mi, 2,025 ft

Welcome by our staff, accommodation in your hotel, and then we will become familiar with Florence. A first walk with our staff is the best way to get into the mood of this city. Compatibly with the time of your arrival, today you’ll ride in the afternoon for a few km, in order to get familiar with the Italian road.

Florence – Gaiole in Chianti, hilly, 59.8 mi, 3,475 ft

A fantastic long ride in Chianti area will galvanize us in the morning. In the afternoon we’ll start to become familiar with the Tour, the great main event of the week. We won't miss the opportunity to access the fan zone and purchase an official gadget!

3
Florence, TDF stage 1 hilly, 77.8 mi, 8,075 ft

You will experience the first part of the Tour stage, just a few hours before your favorite champions will tackle it. You will then have the opportunity to attend the race, thanks to the assistance of our staff and our van in tow. Then, we’ll complete a nice hilly loop around Florence.

Transfer to Alba. Stop in Cinque Terre

Transfer to Langhe. Along the way we will stop at the Cinque Terre and at museum dedicated to the great champion Fausto Coppi in Gavi.

Alba, TDF stage 3, 42.2 mi, 4,950 ft

We will witness the Tour de France transit over the Barbaresco hill in the third stage of the race, which takes place in the beautiful Piedmont italian region.

Ride to Bra, 53.0 mi, 4,300 ft

In the next two rides we will discover the villages and the pleasant, but also in some cases challenging, hills of the Langhe. Would you like to know what an Infernot is?

Last ride, Barolo, 37.9 mi, 2,475 ft

Today we will head south to the villages of La Morra and Barolo, you will love the castles in this area.
